I am excited about this quilt for two reasons; 1 – I just put up my design wall. I’ve been reading other bloggers and how they use a design wall. I found it hard to believe that a piece of felt stuck to the wall would work to hang up the squares, but I thought I’d give it a try. Lo and Behold! It works! I’ve been admiring my wall for 2 days now. No more laying the quilt out on the floor or on our bed. But, the best part of it…. I can now look at it for a few days and find where I need to move a block or two before sewing the rows together. I’ve already noticed the white blocks next to each other, the too many dark blue squares in the same row.
The second reason I’m excited for this quilt is the material. When I first saw Neverland, I knew I had to make it for Becky. She LOVES Peter Pan and this will be well loved by her. Now I just have to get it sewn together and off to the quilter.
