What do you do when you are snowed in for days and days….. ? Besides go stir crazy? Sew a variety of projects. We started snowing Friday morning, we released from work about noon, and it snowed about 12-15 inches in the next 48 hours.                   Saturday morning the wind started and then we got 5′ drifts in addition to all the snow.

Our cars were pretty much snowed in and drifts in front and back.that’s a good 12-15″ in front of my car and the entire street. We are priority 4 (of 5) for the City plowing so it will not see the snowplow for days!

We did get a short sun break Sunday afternoon and we were out digging/shoveling . This is the 3rd time at scraping the snow off the windshield. There’s about 8-10 inches at this time.we found 2 toboggans UNDER our truck when we finally got it dug out and drove a little to  work in that location.
then, Monday we got a little more snow. We have been keeping the snow off the hot tub cover, but the drifts are terrible in that corner.

There’s three steps under all that snow! Step carefully!
So, what do you do….? Sew of course! I finished the Sew Sampler January box Friday. Then decided to start working on existing kits/projects I have so dug out my Moda Frivols and decided to start with #1 and work my way thru. So, started on the Kindred with Hello, Darling material and got 5 blocks done. But I just wasn’t “feeling” it so kept looking. Well…. I do have the kit for the Gravity quilt. It’s been on my “to do” list for along time because it just LOOKS hard. But I decided to give it a go and see how it does. Imagine my surprise when the blocks really aren’t too hard and I LOVE how they are turning out! So, there you have it, what do you do when you’re snowed in, do some shoveling, some playing and some sewing!
