Pattern: Basic zipper bag
Fabrics: Various fabrics from my stash
Time to sew: about 30 minutes each
Difficulty rating: ★

My One Monthly Goal (that I could talk about) was to finish these 50 zipper pouches to be used as a gift in a couple weeks. I had a young girl come over and help cut the fabrics. I even hauled my sewing machine to work in my hotel room while on business travel. My mom visited for the past few days and I showed her how to sew them. These bags literally took a village to get done, but done they are (or will be in about an hour as I write this during a quiet moment early in the morning). That box is getting all packed and ready to take with me to pass out.

I used a variety of fat quarters that I have and matched two of them up. Each set of fabric makes 2 pouches and I like to use each of the fabrics as the outer side so there’s two matching, but they match opposite of each other. Then, I order a bunch of zippers from ZipIt Zippers, that I then have fun matching up with my fabrics.

Here’s a few of my favorites. How cute are these foxes?

This “pirate” theme is so darling.

I love these red cherries

And what about these little bears, don’t you just want to play with them?

Ok, quiet time is over, I need to go finish the last 8 that I need to make. Watch for my July OMG next week.
